When Boomi decided to move from a shared WeWork space into its own dedicated Vancouver office, the goal was clear: create a workplace that reflects the company’s brand, supports hybrid work, and inspires employees to do their best. The result is a vibrant, three-floor headquarters in Four Bentall Centre, designed to foster growth, attract talent, and facilitate collaboration.
From Temporary to Purpose-Built
Prior to the move, Boomi’s Vancouver team operated in a traditional WeWork environment with rented furniture, open layouts, and limited meeting spaces. While the space supported collaboration, it wasn’t optimized for technology, privacy, or employee experience. “We were definitely starting to outgrow the space,” recalled Megan Trenaman, Office Manager for Boomi Vancouver. “Meeting rooms weren’t soundproof, and we didn’t have a ton of spaces for teams to collaborate effectively.”
The new office addresses these challenges with intentional design and careful planning. Spanning three floors and accommodating nearly 250 employees (up from around 170 from their WeWork days), the headquarters reflects Boomi’s growth and commitment to its people.

Designing for People and Culture
Central to the project was creating a workplace that employees would choose to come into, a workplace worth the commute. At Boomi Vancouver, hybrid schedules remain in place, with in-office days required on Tuesday through Thursday, yet Trenaman noted many employees are also choosing to come into the office on Mondays and Fridays, when attendance is optional.
The office showcases Boomi branding throughout, from signature colors to company mottos, giving the space a distinct identity.
Providing employees choice and control over where and how they work are key design principles:
- Open collaboration areas encourage team interaction.
- Private meeting and Zoom rooms support focused work.
- Phone booths are fully soundproofed, equipped with airflow systems, and allow employees to conduct calls without distraction.
- Assigned desks and bookable “hotel” spaces provide flexibility for hybrid employees and visiting staff.
“We really wanted comfort and safety to be a big part of the new space,” Trenaman said. “The goal was to create an environment where everyone can thrive, no matter their role.”

Technology-Enabled Collaboration
The move also brought significant upgrades to Boomi’s technology and AV systems. Meeting rooms are fully equipped for virtual collaboration, and strategically placed tables in the open office foster team brainstorming sessions. These enhancements ensure that teams can work effectively, whether collaborating in person or connecting virtually with global colleagues.

Partnering for Success
Heritage Office Furnishings played a key role throughout the process, from initial planning to delivery and installation. Trenaman highlighted the hands-on approach: “Our workplace consultant [Nick Taylor] was on site very often and really understood the vibe we were going for. The installation crew was extremely professional and flexible with any changes we needed on site.”
The result is a space that supports growth, reflects the Boomi brand, and enhances employee experience, all while making a strong impression on visitors and potential hires. “Everyone’s first comment when touring the office is how beautiful it is and what an awesome place it is to work,” Trenaman shared.

A Strategic Asset for Growth
Boomi’s new Vancouver headquarters is more than a workspace; it’s a strategic tool for recruitment, collaboration, and employee engagement. As a Centre of Excellence in Vancouver, the office supports over 200 local hires to date and positions the company for continued growth in the region. The space brings together the best of remote work flexibility and in-office collaboration, creating a modern workplace where employees can thrive.
