Are you a self-motivated team player with a creative flair who enjoys working with customers? Heritage Office Furnishings is hiring a full-time Project Space Planner to join our Project & Design Support team. This is a 12-month contract with potential for permanent placement.

Responsibilities

Project Initiation & Planning

  • Receive new project folder trigger emails and assess scope.
  • Schedule review meetings with the Sales Consultant to discuss:
    • Specification changes since the last drawing revision.
    • Finish and material selections.
    • Electrical plan support requirements.
    • Skin elevation plan requirements.
    • Installation details (e.g., general notes, site conditions, onsite cuts, wall mounts).

Drawing & Design Work

  • Space plan using CET and CAD drawings (training on CET will be provided).
  • Complete high-level 3D renderings for projects.
  • Produce millwork drawings as required.

Validation & Documentation

  • Validate and verify correct applications using product knowledge and software tools.
  • Document and escalate any variations or alerts.
  • Work with the Project Manager to ensure drawings are audited.

Quoting & Estimation

  • Create Hedberg quotes from CET exports.
  • Update project folder details in Hedberg, including:
    • Referencing CET quote numbers.
    • Linking plans, renderings, and Bill of Materials for estimation.

Communication & Coordination

  • Organize tasks and meetings using Outlook.
  • Conduct site visits and client meetings as needed.
  • Participate in weekly Project & Design Support Team meetings.

What You Bring:

  • Excellent communication skills, good analytical skills, ability to prioritize, good interpersonal skills, Photoshop/3DS Max knowledge an asset
  • Positive team attitude

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Interior Design, or relatable work experience
  • Level 1 AutoCAD
  • Basic principles of architecture and interior design. Continuing knowledge of product innovations, building and safety codes
  • 2 years practical experience AutoCAD with understanding of symbol libraries, some experience in 3D rendering
