We are seeking a proactive and customer-oriented Retail Sales Specialist to join our Vancouver team on a 6-month contract. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys helping clients find the right solutions, and values teamwork and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for walk-in, phone, and email inquiries, providing expert guidance on our products and services.
  • Process “cash & carry” transactions by preparing and submitting Cash Sale forms.
  • Assist with inventory management for both new and used furnishings.
  • Help clients navigate the Steelcase online store and provide support throughout their shopping experience.
  • Support pre-sold product orders by:
  • Creating and submitting quotations using internal ERP system for customer approval.
  • Ensuring all order details are accurate, including site information, payment methods, and applicable charges.
  • Submitting approved quotes for order conversion.
  • Conducting follow-up calls after delivery to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience in customer service, sales support, or a related administrative role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and order processing
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems is an asset
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with office furniture or interior design industries is a plus
