Passport Competition

Join us on the Journey to Better exploring our new locations, neighborhoods and shaping our new work experiences. Receive stamps from the Pathfinders Team (Holly, Donna and Gillian) to fill your passport each time you participate in an engagement related to the move for chances to win prizes! Passports will be distributed over the next week; there will be a QR code inside you can check for updates on our move and new ways to earn stamps – check often for updates!

Earn a stamp for activities including:

  • Participate in a company surveys regarding the move (Includes QR codes in the office related to furniture and technology).
  • Explore the neighbourhood at 295 West 5th, Kent Ave or 8288 North Fraser Way and receive a stamp for:
    • Sharing a review and photos of establishments within 2 km of each location.
    • Taking a selfie or picture of a team member at one of the new locations.
  • Celebrate our Heritage and give a piece of memorabilia to HR or Marketing to hang on our corkboard such as:
    • Retro branded items
    • Old photos
    • Vintage marketing materials
  • Ask a question or provide feedback to a member of the steering committee in-person or by email. Members include:

    • Mike Meyer
    • Liz Elliott
  • Submit a receipt for meals or drinks at an establishment within 2 kilometers of one of the new locations for the chance to be reimbursed via a monthly draw. Draws held monthly between April – August. Max $200 reimbursed each month.
  • Post on your social media celebrating our journey to better and tag Heritage while tagging the neightbourhood.

Participation prizes including:

  • Gift cards to explore restaurants and other establishments in our new neighborhoods
  • Tickets to events and experiences in Vancouver

Grand prize for passport completion ( at least 16 stamps)

  • Your choice of a trip valued at $3,500 to TOFINO or WHISTLER

Update March 8, 2023

With the recent confirmation of our final location on North Fraser Way, the move tasks forces have been working on their respective tasks to ensure a smooth transition this fall. In addition to addressing the move, they are also considering opportunities for improvement. Here is an update of what each team has been working on:

Pathfinders – Internal Communication

  • Sharing updates and images of the new locations on the corkboard at 1588 Rand Avenue.
  • Seeking feedback for office-based team members via surveys regarding hybrid work and technology.
  • Journey to Better Passport Competition (Launching soon – see page 2!)

Space Stations – Facility and Company Protocols

  • Seeking feedback on work preferences for office-based team members to aid in the development of protocols.
  • Reviewing current protocol guides and updating them to apply to the news spaces as well identifying opportunities to pilot new ones.

Space Invaders – Storage

  • “Spring cleaning” initiated with applicable teams and departments to eliminate unnecessary items and documents.
  • Reviewing processes to determine ways to minimize paper use.

SpaceX – Technology

  • Seeking feedback on new technology being trialed in the office. Please give your feedback through the QR codes that will soon be placed in each setting. These items include:
    • Virtual meeting technology in the learning commons
    • Single curved monitor display versus dual monitor screen

Mariner 10 – External Communication

  • Preparing a new building wrap for 295 West 5th to generate excitement and announce our “travel” plans!
  • Engagement within the new neighbourhoods.

  • Newly formed task force to plan the details of physically moving.
